What Are They For? | Facial Mists

Coming at you with a bit of a new series on essiebutton-not entirely sure about it yet though.
"What Are They For?"
------
I was speaking to Aslan about facial mists and all he could really say was, "Well...what are they for?"
I thought it was actually a really good question and found it rather difficult to explain it to be honest.
I have four different types of facial mists here which are all the same kind
of thing but have slightly different purposes.
------
For instance, I spray one when I'm done applying my makeup, I spray one throughout the day etc.
I'm going to do my best to explain what each of these facial mists are for.

DISCLAIMER:
Please keep in mind all of these products have multiple different uses.
I'm just going to explain what I personally use each facial mist for & what I hope to achieve from each.
This product is meant to tighten pores, boost skin's radiance and generally make your skin look better.
If you read a lot of blogs, I'm sure you've heard of it as being a miracle worker etc.
This is my second bottle and I must admit I really do enjoy using it.
I don't think it completely changes my skin, but if I'm having a particularly bad skin day
I spray this on my skin morning, night and throughout the day.
I guess it just feels really refreshing and almost acts as an astringent in a way.
I DO think it helps with blemishes but it's not instant and isn't near as effective as
something like the Origins Super Spot Remover.
It has quite a strong minty/herbal scent (which I'm now used to) and feels so refreshing.
I also apply this over makeup to help set it and keep things under control.

As you can see this product is called a "Toner Water" and I do indeed use this as a toner.
Sometimes if I'm not wearing makeup I spray this on my skin throughout the day but the nozzle on this
isn't a fine mist..it's more of a spray if that makes sense?
Not ideal for spraying overtop of makeup, but is lovely nonetheless.
This smells like rose which is one of my favourite scents and is apparently good for calming redness.
I personally can't vouch for this as I haven't noticed any difference.
Overall, really nice product (I've almost finished it) to spray on your skin after cleansing or to use with a cotton pad to help remove extra makeup/dirt.
This is the most pricey facial mist I'll be mentioning today and the newest one to my collection.
I was quite intrigued by this product when I found out it was one of Lauren Conrad's Beauty Essentials.
She says she uses it quite often when she travels or when her skin is feeling dull/dry.
This is definitely the most hydrating of the facial mists which is great for me
because I do indeed have dehydrated skin.
I was really ill with a cold recently and the moisture in my skin had been completely sucked out-
I sprayed this stuff constantly and I found it really helped.
For those worried about scents-it smells like Orange Blossom and Neroli but isn't too overpowering.
Very nice!

Now this is a bit of a different one all together (thanks again to Amelia for giving this to me!).
You can use all of the sprays as a makeup setting spray (the LUSH one can be tricky) but this one
is specifically designed to enable your makeup to last.
If I'm going out for a full day or want my makeup to last over a long period of time
this is hands down my go-to facial mist.
It gets rid of that powdery finish, helps makeup settle into it's proper place and just generally makes your makeup last! I really love this stuff!
I was worried about it being too drying on my skin but I don't think it's too bad.
A little bit of tight feeling skin is worth it if my foundation/eyeshadow etc. stays put!

Phewf! I feel like I just wrote a damn novel!
Did I kind of help break it down a bit? Have you ever found a reason to invest in facial mists?

Please let me know if you like the new series!
Do you have any suggestions of what products I could feature in the future?
Have you ever though "I want that...but what is it for!?"
