Urban Decay Naked BASICS Palette | Review & Swatches

You could call me a fan of the Naked Palettes so when I heard about this
miniature edition I knew I had to have it.
I could probably dupe most of these colours with other eyeshadows but to have them
in one small palette was just too convenient for me to pass up.
I believe this is an online exclusive from Debenhams (that's where I bought mine).
Since I first got my hands on this palette I've used it everyday.
I use every single colour to create a very natural look:
Foxy/Walk of Shame on the lid, Naked2/Faint in the crease, Crave as liner & Venus as an eyebrow/inner corner highlight.
Here you can see the size difference compared to the Naked 2 Palette.
You can see my review of the Naked 2 Palette HERE!
The packaging is a *bit* rubbery (not as rubbery as the NARS packaging but close)
and will probably get a tad dirty with regular use.
It's quite a bit smaller than I had imagined & even fits in the palm of my hand.
Although the palette itself is a lot smaller than the first two Urban Decay Palettes
you're still receiving full-sized eyeshadows (1.3g/eyeshadow).
Urban Decay Eyeshadows are some of my favourites-very pigmented and SO easy to work with.
Every eyeshadow in this palette is matte except Venus which is used as a highlight shade.
I still consider myself to be a shimmer type of gal but these matte shades look so understated and pretty
it makes me wonder if a re-evaluation is in order!

Do you prefer matte or shimmery eyeshadows?
Will you be buying this  palette or do you think it's a tad pointless?
