I was recently contacted by Most Wanted& VoucherCodes to put together a little
beauty preparation package of sorts for the festive season.
Now I don't know about you guys, but I like to keep things simple and I LOVE the colour red.
I picked out a few items that you could use for multiple different occasions to keep up
a simple, yet polished look.
What You'll Need:
I'm a red lipstick kinda gal so I went for one of my favourite brands-Revlon.
These lipsticks aren't drying and have great colour payoff.
Gotta love a statement lip every now and then & you can't beat the price!
I chose to test out the Benefit They're Real Mascara as I've heard great things about it.
I must say, I absolutely loved the results with this mascara.
It really defined and separated the lashes while giving a fair amount of volume.
In my opinion if you're lashes look great, YOU LOOK GREAT.
There are so many ways to do eyeliner, but I like to stick with the pretty basic shape.
It's really easy to bring your daytime look to nighttime with a bit of liner so that's always handy.
If I really wanted to go all out I'd extend the wing and make it a bit thicker but I'm more
of the casual type ;)
I personally have a major issue with flyaway hair.
If I don't put SOMETHING in my hair it's like an accident waiting to happen.
I liked this one because it's in a spray bottle and is handbag sized.
This also adds some shine to the hair which is always nice for a party : )
I love the way messy hair looks, but a little styling never hurt anyone.
If you read my blog regularly you'll know I love a bit of shimmer.
This highlighter from Topshop is a really pretty pearlescent pink colour and ads a bit of glam!
It could also be used as eyeshadow if you're up for a bit of va-va-voom.
I think red nail polish is the epitome of sexiness (especially paired with red lipstick).
This nail polish by Butter London lasts for DAYS and I've never experienced that before.
Very, very impressed with the formula.
I'm not a salon-going type of gal and I love getting ready on my own
ie: doing my own nails, my own makeup etc.
I find it to be really relaxing and it's also quite fun to get dolled up.
The only problem is I spend a bit TOO much time getting ready.
Of course these are only a few items out there but I think they're great staples to work from.
For instance, you could use the cheek highlighter as an inner corner & brow bone highlight
and you can also apply the red lipstick with a bit of lip balm to make it more sheer & casual.
