Yesterday Aslan and I took a stroll over to the Oval Farmer's Market to get some tasty snacks and LOTS of fruit & veg. The Oval Farmer's Market is rather tiny due to the frigid weather, but apparently it's BOOMING in the warmer months. Roll on summertime!

Cookies for breakfast? Don't mind if I do!
These cookies from Galeta were no joke the best cookies I have ever tasted. I went for standard chocolate chip & about 10 minutes later went back for a bag of five. Woops!

Now that I'm an olive convert I got a lot of enjoyment out of browsing the different varieties. At the end of it Aslan went for plain olives which really surprised me. Delicious though!

This makes me hungry just looking at it! Now that I'm looking at the photo again I'm really angry at myself for not trying some of that carrot cake! What a cruel world we live in!
We did get some sourdough bread though which is damn good.

Now for the real reason we went! Fruit & veg! We recently bought a juicer and wanted to stock up on plenty of produce for our new juicing habit. Going to the market is a lot more economical and we're also supporting local farmers which is always grand!

The market itself takes place on the grounds of a church. There used to be a cemetery here as well, but all of the tombstones seem to have been removed and placed along the sides.![]()

Aww. Aslan was busy tucking into a serving of curry, but I managed to get him in a photo. It was absolutely FREEZING when we were at the market (it was even snowing) so our market experience was quite short lived.

Think that's enough fruit & veg for some homemade juice?
You should see our fridge!
Do you enjoy spending your Saturday mornings at markets?
Do you know of any nice London markets we should go to when it gets a bit warmer?
