Crazy for Coral!

Aslan and I started watching Mad Men a few weeks ago (OBSESSED) which has sparked a full-fledged coral obsession. There's something about this colour that is so feminine, classy and just plain gorgeous. I know it's not technically spring yet (and it's cold as hell outside), but I've been wearing at least one orangey item on my face everyday. Imagine how much I'm going to love coral in the summer!
NAILS:

This is a very subdued coral and it's possible even more peachy coloured, but I'm including it as a sort of pastel coral-new thing? It's a nice way to wear colour without being too in-your-face about it. I love the formula of these polishes and they last about 4 days on me (using a good base and top coat).

I just realised that I actually own two of these (yeah, I know). It's pretty terrible when you have so much nail polish you can't even remember which ones you've got, but I guess it goes to show that I liked the colour so much I bought it twice? Again, really great formulation on these polishes and the colour of this is an orange-coral shade that's sure to turn heads.
This will look so pretty when it gets a bit warmer! Must have in my opinion!
BLUSH:

This is a rather new addition to my collection (as featured in this haul). Cream blushes look SO pretty because they give a dewy, natural finish to your face. It looks so effortless but it also adds a bit of colour. I really love all of my Convertible Colours but I have to say-this one is my favourite! It looks orange in the pan, but it blends out to be sort of an orange-peach. It's incredibly wearable and I've been reaching for it since the day I got it! TOP TIP: Try applying cream blushes with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush-foolproof!

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Coral Reef-£7.99
A more budget-friendly cream blush is Coral Reef by Revlon. This formulation is a lot more sheer and you really need to build it up to get a statement look. This would be perfect for people just dabbling in the world of cream blushes because it's pretty hard to mess up & you don't need to worry about applying too much in one go.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy
Now, if cream blushes aren't your thing I have you covered. Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes (while hard to find in this part of the world) are absolutely stunning! Tipsy is a matte coral shade that I've also been using quite a bit lately. These blushes are some of my all time favourites and they last a really good amount of time on the skin. If you're ever in North America I highly recommend checking them out!
LIPS:

This is a great way to incorporate a bit of coral on a lazy day. These lip butters are really moisturising, smell AMAZING and give a sheer wash of colour to the lips. I always bust out the Mango scent in Spring/Summer and this year is no exception!

Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti-£7.99
You guys probably know that I'm addicted to all of my Revlon Lip Butters, but I am LOVING this shade. I love these lip butters because they're more hydrating than your average lipstick, give enough colour but aren't as high maintenance as a lipstick. Gorgeous, wearable shade.

Again, I love the Revlon JBKBS's. These are more long wearing than the lip butters and aren't quite as hydrating. I like that this goes kind of matte on my lips, but doesn't dry them out too much if I apply a regular balm underneath. I've been keeping this one in my handbag and I've had 2 compliments on it already! Compliments from strangers always seal the deal for me ;)

Estée Lauder Sheer Matte Lipstick in Rock Candy*-£19.50
I went to an Estée Lauder event a few weeks ago and was smitten with the idea of a sheer, matte lipstick. The colour payoff is great (it's an orange with a bit of red), but unfortunately I found it a tad too drying for my lips. My lips are always chapped and dry, but if you're someone who doesn't have that issue, this is a great coral lipstick in really sleek packaging. I'm going to keep working with it & hopefully the state of my lips will improve by the time spring rolls around and I'm in a total coral haze.

Revlon Matte Lipstick in Strawberry Suede
Here's an oldie (but a goodie). I don't even think this particular shade is available anymore which is a shame because it was one of my go-to colours last year! I really love the formula of Revlon's Matte Lipsticks so if you can find this one on eBay I'd definitely snatch it up!
In this photo I'm wearing the Stila Convertible Colour (Geranium)which unfortunately seems undetectable in this picture and a bit of the Revlon JBKBS (Rendevouz) on my lips. My lips are quite pigmented so this turns a bit more red-toned on me, but it's definitely more of an orange! Damn my pigmented lips!

It's safe to say that I need therapy. Coral therapy.
BUT it's making me mildly hopeful that the weather will once again be warm!
It's to the point where I feel such a lack of sunshine that I can't even remember what it feels like.
Maybe I should get one of those sunshine simulator things for your nightstand? Desperate times...

What are some of your favourite coral products?
If you're not into coral, what colour do you think you'll be going crazy over this spring?
