Base Products for Dry Skin | Foundation & Concealer

My skin goes through a lot of different phases, but for the most part I like to stick to makeup bases that are good for dry skin. I find they work best for me all year round and on days when my skin isn't so dry I can always put on a bit more powder if necessary. I took a gander through my collection to find 6 base products that I reach for when my skin needs a little extra moisture as well as coverage. I thought I'd show you two options per category, in two different price brackets.

SOMETHING LIGHT:
Light coverage is all the rage right now (in my life anyway).

I adore this foundation for the following reasons: it evens out my skin-tone which has a tendency to get red, it gives light to medium coverage and is also a little on the dewy side of things. Great daytime foundation.

This is the crème de la crème for dry/dehydrated skin. It moisturises pretty intensely throughout the day, and can make my face a bit shiny in areas where my skin isn't so dry (I tend to powder through my t-zone when I'm wearing this). The coverage is extremely light-definitely the lightest coverage of all of the bases I'm mentioning. This is my go-to, everyday base and the colour is perfect for my pale skin.
A BIT MORE COVERAGE:
For days when my dry skin needs a little more help, I bust out one of these two pimps.

This is by far my favourite foundation (possibly of all time). It just seems to get everything right and it glides over any dry patches on my skin like a Hummer would drive over a speed bump. These foundations lean more towards the yellow side (yay for me) and this shade is literally perfect for my complexion. Apparently this is a gel foundation? To me it feels a *tiny bit* different than liquid and as I said the finish is impeccable. I would highly recommend it to anyone with normal/dry skin.
Can you tell I love this?

If you're looking for even more coverage, but are facing some pesky dry skin, I'd definitely say you should try this YSL foundation. They have a pretty extensive range of shades so it's worth trying out a few samples to see which one suits you the best. I wore this basically all throughout winter, but now the coverage is a bit too heavy for me. Great when your skin is acting up a bit.
CONCEALERS:
I tried to narrow down the best concealers for dry areas of the skin down to my top two. I also think the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer is pretty good too, but it can get a bit flakey after a few hours in my experience (hot).

This concealer really is creamy. I don't think this is the best for underneath the eyes because it tends to crease a bit. It's got about medium to full coverage so it's great for covering the red areas of my skin that also happen to be dry (around my nose).

This is my favourite all-rounder concealer. I use it under my eyes, on spots and to even out my skin. I'd say it's a light to medium coverage, but it's buildable. It seems to last really well throughout the day on me too!

I also wanted to mention that Lisa Eldridge recently did a video called Foundations for Dry and Very Dry Skin so that might be of use to you as well!
