Desert Days | Dry Skin Saviours

Sometimes my skin feels completely normal, but then other times it gets SO incredibly dry (usually in the winter). I have eczema pretty much all year round, but it's much worse when it's cold outside.
For the past few months I've been using a few products which have been helping with my dry skin & I'm going to let you know a bit more about them in this post.
This is your one stop shop for dry skin, dry lips, etc. This is an Australian product and apparently "papaw" and "papaya" are the same thing! You learn something new everyday! I use this on my lips constantly! It has the same kind of texture as Vaseline, but it actually feels like it's hydrating rather than just sitting on top. It's great for rubbing into your cuticles and I'm sure there are many other great uses for this product. It has quite a cult following amongst celebrities as well as us "normal folk"-I'd highly recommend it!

Oh, Antipodes. They can do no wrong! This is a gigantic tub of various oils such as carrot seed oil, tea tree oil etc. which you can use pretty much anywhere. Infused with anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial healing properties, this really is a skin saviour. Use on your body, lips, cuticles and anywhere else you feel like!
As you can see, Aslan had a little dip into the Saviour Balm (grr), but apparently he likes it too! Take a tiny bit of this stuff, rub it between your hands and get hydratin'.
The skin on my face is more on the normal/dehydrated side of things, but sometimes it gets really dry too. There are lots of different hydrating masks I like, but I've been using this one the most lately. This is a cream mask which is incredibly soothing and it feels like it's hydrating your skin. I don't wake up the next day with greasy skin and in fact it really plumps it up! If you like the Caudalie SOS Serum, you'd like this. I picked mine up in Paris, but you can find the brand at various independent pharmacies or at Coco Beau

Ringing in at the most expensive, I had really high hopes for this product. I searched the blogposphere and there were quite a few great reviews for this product. This is a rather intense, thick salve which is supposed to soothe irritated skin. This didn't cure my eczema (nothing really helps me), but this took away that itchy feeling on my elbows and forearms like no other. I had to reapply it about once an hour, but on days when it's really bad, this stuff is a godsend. If you feel like you've tried everything, it might be worth giving this a try. I hate to sound soppy, but I really know what it feels like to try every moisturizer on the market and feel like nothing has worked. It's worth a shot!

I really like all of the products featured in this post, but for the purpose of making it easy I say the Lucas Pawpaw Ointment is probably my most used. It's a great price & does the job which is all you can really ask for.

Any dry skinned readers out there?
