Illamasqua has always been one of those brands that has intrigued me, but I always kind of considered it a bit wild for my everyday neutral needs. When I was invited to the launch of their newest collection called I'mperfection, I was a bit nervous, but also really excited to see what was in store. They always push the envelope, create products that you don't see everyday and I may or may not be guilty of going into their store purely to stroke the soft, soft brushes.

The I'mperfection collection* (which is available for purchase now) is meant to make you feel good about yourself, your freckles, your birth marks and any "imperfections" the rest of the makeup world might aim to cover up. This is not about the flawless, airbrushed look. It's about wearing makeup to enhance your personality as well as your physical features. Gotta love it!

Ahh, spring! So happy they busted out the pastels in their range of speckled nail polishes* which cost £14.50 each. If you're a fan of mini-eggs (OMG MINI EGGS ARE SO GOOD) you will love these nail polishes. Really unique formula and they kind of dry a bit matte? It's really weird!
These polishes aren't exactly "glittery"--> they look like egg shells!

Here's the more neutral polish called Freckle. It's got a taupe, camel coloured base featuring navy blue glitters or "freckles" (if you want to call them that). This lasted almost a week on me and I loved every minute of it!

Here we have Speckle! Beautiful lavender easter egg nails!

We've got a Powder Blush Duo* featuring a peach shade called Soft Apricot and a very bright pink called Hussy. The colours work really well together, but I like that you have the option to wear them separately. As my first introduction to Illamasqua blushes-I'm impressed.

Another item to mention is the new Blush Up Brush* they released. I still haven't *quite* got the hang of this brush (and the new blush application technique they introduced), but you're supposed to load the brush, stab and blush upwards lifting the cheekbones. I'm trying, guys. I really am. The brush is dense, not too bendy, but is extremely soft. Definitely worth looking into if you're a blush lover.

This lipstick called Immodest*is BRIGHT. Basically the polar opposite of every other lipstick shade I own. Since I have naturally dark lips, it turned out quite wearable on me, but if you want to see it in all of it's glory take a look at Cami's post here! It's a matte finish & unfortunately it was rather drying on my lips. Matte lipsticks are one of those things that rarely work for me!

Any of these shades can be built up for a more dramatic look, but I'm a fan of soft & subtle makeup so I adjusted it to my preferences. Quite an exciting collection if you ask me and a great introduction to Illamasqua in general. I'm learning that it's not the intimidating brand I once thought it was. They also have neutrals, and a lot of these bright shades actually look REALLY pretty!
