Since my Face of the Day #1 went down so well, I thought making it a more regular thing would be good because I find it really fun to do! Here we go!
THE FACE:
I wasn't really feelin' a heavy base, but I have had a few breakouts so I needed something that would help cover everything up. I used my Real Techniques Stippling Brush with my favourite Bobbi Brown Moisturising Balm. I wanted a bit more coverage so I applied theLaura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder in the shade Soft Porcelain. It's such a good colour match, but can look a bit caked on if you don't buff it in really well. I covered up any pesky spots with the MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC15) which is a bit drying, but it's heavy duty coverage!
THE EYES:
Went for the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (can't get enough of this lately) and using my MAC 217 Brush I applied a few shades from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and built up my lashes with theDiorshow Maximizer as well as the L'Oréal Volunious Fiber Lashes Mascara. I've been loving the L'Oréal mascara by the way! It's really easy to get into the inner corner with the tapered wand and it gives me quite a bit of length as well as volume-best of both worlds! I got this in Canada & can't seem to find it on the Boots website so I'm not sure if it's available in the UK : (
CHEEKS & LIPS:
Busted out an old standby blush-Warm Soul because it's really easy to wear and thought it tied in nicely with my lipstick! Ahh the lipstick. I don't talk about this one too much, but it's one of my favourite coral/red colours called See Sheer! Great to wear on an everyday basis, but for some reason I kind of forgot about it this winter! I got three compliments on it, so I'll definitely be adding this to my makeup bag for more regular excursions.
We woke up bright and early to go to the Brixton Market for some brunch, but unfortunately all of the restaurants were closed until 12:30 so we rushed over to Ping Pong! MmMm! We lovvve Dim Sum!
Y'know when you're so hungry you can't even talk? Well we pretty much waited in silence because both of us were fantasising about our future meal!
I've been wanting a top like this for ages & I finally found one with a shape I liked from COS. My necklace is from Topshop (can't seem to find it on the website) and I absolutely lovvve it! I love silver jewellery and I'd been wanting some statement necklaces so this ticked all of the boxes!
Of course, Aslan had to imitate me applying lipstick. As a consequence he will now be featured in this post! We were absolutely freezing walking around London and both of us agreed we need warmer coats!
