I've been swept off my feet by the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and there's no one else to blame for this except Kate from Gh0stparties. She's used it in a bunch of her YouTube tutorials as well as blogposts and eventually I cracked. You probably know that I'm a big fan of the light-medium coverage foundations that let my actual skin show through & this one does that like an absolute dream.

THE FINISH:
So the first thing about this that makes it so unique is that it's a tinted moisturiser with a MATTE finish. I know I'm stating the obvious, but I've never heard of this before. The overall finish of this reminds me of a lighter version of the Laura Mercier Silk Cream Foundation (which I don't actually like because it's too heavy for me). I'd say this has more coverage than your average tinted moisturiser.

Although my skin tends to get the odd dry patch here and there, this doesn't seem to make it that obvious. It evens out the redness in my skin quite well (although not completely) and once it's set I'm pretty much good to go. I don't add powder over the top of this and it stays matte basically all day on me. Like I said, my skin is a bit dry sometimes, but it still gets shiny-NOT with this stuff though.
I think it would be great for oily/combination skin types.

THE COLOUR:
I have really fair skin, but it's definitely not the palest of the pale. Because I have a yellow undertone to my skin I find I can kind of get away with things that are a tad dark. (Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in shade 51 is literally the perfect match). The Porcelain shade is absolutely perfect for my skin. It blends in easily, leaving a skin-like finish. Half the time it doesn't even look like I'm wearing any base which is always a plus for me.
I hate looking made up!

Here I am bare faced and dangerous! I'm wearing NOTHING but the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and some powder through my brows. When I wear this I do tend to use concealer over any blemishes etc. but I thought it would be useful to show you what it looks like without that. You can see that it lets my freckles shine through too!
Overall I think this will be a great tinted moisturiser to have when it starts to get warmer. It has SPF15 built into it which is handy and it's so easy to apply. I either use my fingertips or a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
I know it's expensive, but for me it ticks all of the boxes and is well worth it.
What are your favourite tinted moisturisers? Do you like the idea of a matte finish?
